I got to see another amazing show by Jonah Matranga last night. He dropped his pick twice. He also played an awesome version of “Feel Alright” and “Boring Life”. It was one of those shows where I had my eyes shut for most of it, always a cathartic experience for me. Hurricane Roses was really good as well, I’m a sucker for male/female harmony vocals
Jonathan Sontag opened the show with some nice songs, witty banter and Tom Petty covers. I took some photos if you’d like to take a peek. I’m still trying to figure out how to get natural looking shots while using the flash so these are a little grainy but a few came out decent.
Jonah.
Little League Continues
All Star season is already underway and I’m a little behind in posting some photos from the regular season. I’ve just added some photos from one of the first playoff games – Giants vs. Astros.
Let the games begin!
After a bit of a rainy start, Pajaro Valley Little League is finally underway. I got to take some pics of the Giants and Padres game. It was sunny but really cold. I think the brisk air helped get some extra clarity out of my zoom lens.
Making Use of Investments
Roughly a year ago, my wife and I purchased a Nikon D5000. It’s our first DSLR and we have been having a ton of fun learning how to use it over the last year. Little League has just begun and I expect to take a ton of pictures of my Nephew’s games and posting them here. I’ll also be posting images from bands we play with Asyst and any other interesting photos that we take.
We had a great Asyst show in Tracy a couple weeks ago and I took photos of the other bands that played that night. Hopefully I can keep this up and post a lot more photos in the future!
My Site is Back
Hi. This site was hacked a while ago and I’ve finally gotten around to reinstalling it. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to recover any of my old posts so most are lost to time. I don’t post much here, but you can find links here to other places on the web I visit more frequently. Thanks for visiting.
You and I Collide
Today is my wife and I’s third wedding anniversary and nearly seven years of being together. In honor of it I’ve recorded a version of Collide by Howie Day.
Collide by Dipendra
Our second date was a Howie Day/Matt Nathanson concert and this song really stuck with us right away. It works on so many levels. It captures those moments where you first meet and fall in love with someone, the moments where you have doubts and the moments of pure joy in the realization that you have found the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. I think it even reflects the ups and downs of marriage – through it all we know we have each other.
I love you Breanna Eddy, I look forward to many more years of “You and I.”
